This is a beautiful
photo album of paintings, statues and other religious
items in a couple of Drikung Kagyu Monasteries in Ladakh.
This is the first time the treasures were photographed
and it is wonderful information for scholars and a book
to be enjoyed by everyone.

| Songtsen Library Publication
Songtsen Library; Center for Tibetan and
Himalayan Studies, was established by His Holiness The Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang
Rinpoche, the head of Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibet Buddhism
with the vision to preserve and promote studies on Tibetan and
the Himalayas.
Kyabgon Rinpoche, himself a keen academician
felt the need for a publication unit. Consequently a publication
section was initially opened at Drikung Kagyu Institute, Dehradun
in 1995. Numbers of rare and important publications were made
since then. When works of publication grew wider, the need
for a separate house dedicated to work only for publication
was felt necessary. Thus the publication unit was moved to
Delhi whose work overseen by a committee. After the inauguration
of Songtsen Library a part of this publication was transferred
under Songtsen Library. The Publications made till date are
