In the modern day of Information Technology information flows
at an unprecedented speed and the Library also strives to
maintain the norms by providing information through this medium.
Thus a separate section of "Audiovisual" was opened
and is given an additional importance in the Library. Private
cabins are provided to those who wish to listen to audiocassettes
or to watch documentary films on Tibet and the Himalayas.

| Equipments in this section like overhead, slide and LCD projectors
have been hired during conferences, workshops, seminars and
other events held at the Library. We are planning to upgrade
the section by purchasing these gadgets for the Library. This
section plays tremendous roles during such occasions at the
Library by providing teaching and other illustration aids. Any
contributions from institutions or from individuals shall be
greatly appreciated.
Individuals who wish to avail the facility of audio-visual
section must become a member of the Library.
